Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Review: Everything You Need to Know About the Stylist-Approved Hair Tool in 2023

Because it’s designed to prevent overheating, I don’t experience any scalp sensitivities or hair that’s literally hot to the touch. (In my opinion, the actual tool doesn’t get too hot either.) Despite its powerful motor, the Supersonic is relatively quiet. Celebrity hairstylist Graham Nation agrees, “When working with clients, I love to be able to hold a conversation and still give an amazing blowout,” he previously told Vogue. For what it’s worth, hairstylist Erinn Courtney and Los Angeles–based hairstylist known as Jay Artistry are also fans of the device—namechecking it as the best hair dryer of 2023. The lightweight Loveps Hair Dryer cuts frizz, enhances shine, and reduces drying time, all while remaining a relatively quiet device, according to the brand. This hair dryer from Harry Josh Pro Tools has similar features to the Dyson Supersonic, but has a more conventional, energy-efficient, and lightweight design.

When my mom is shocked to know I can still talk to her on the phone despite the hum of the dryer. Even though I own it, and love it—as you’ll soon learn based on my review—I’m still shocked when I see various hairstylists armed with it; relying on the device to treat and style any mane that lands in their chair. “This is the very first beauty innovator award,” the Romania-born entrepreneur announced. A lot of people in this room have been my clients since.” She thanked her daughter Claudia, now president of their company, recalling, “She put us on the map with Instagram back in 2012. We were the first beauty brand to do it.” Seeing Insta’s now infamous scroll of beauty ads, that’s saying something.

Feel free to create a new topic and post your question on the community.

Yes, I can tell you firsthand that this really is the best hair dryer. Before I ever heard of the Supersonic, I didn't even know a hair dryer could be that expensive. Then, when I finally invested in one for myself, it genuinely delivered everything I could ask for in a hair dryer — which is a lot, because I have thick, curly hair. The Daily, for those who don’t know, is a two-decade-old broadsheet magazine full of supermodels, designers and editors, handed out every day at fashion weeks — with a deliciously gossipy website, Fashionweekdaily.com. Dyson’s community of ambassadors and professionals include British celebrity hairstylist and salon owner Larry King and Los Angeles-based celebrity hairstylist Matthew Collins, who are exposed to prototypes three to four times a year in Malmesbury. In 2012, Dyson invested 50 million pounds to develop its first hair care tool — a process that took four years. Since then, the business has hired Kathleen Pierce, a former senior vice president of global transformation and channel innovation at Estée Lauder Cos. While I wouldn’t consider the Dyson Supersonic to be heavy (it weighs 1.8 lbs), it can get a little uncomfortable if you’re styling for a while. I wouldn’t call that a con, but it in my book it is something worth noting. Just choose your desired settings, snap your attachments into place, and go.

Another hair dryer/ hot air brush option comes from Drybar, with a round brush with a blow dryer inside that’s designed to create a shiny, smooth blowout with plenty of volume while also eliminating extraneous steps. It’s got a 2.44″ oval shape and gently curved edges that’ll give you the cohesive finish you’re looking for with minimal flyaways. It’s also got three different temperature settings — cool, medium, and high, enabling you to customize styling per your hair type. This infrared hair dryer is professional-grade and made to save energy while reducing thermal exposure for your hair as much as possible. It’s made for all hair types and textures, and uses far-infrared rays to gently heat up your hair and lock in moisture.

It’s got a ceramic core heating element that styles and dries precisely, so you’re left with hair that’s silky, shiny, and smooth. This is the most standard hair dryer on this list that’ll get the job done, yet has an elevated design over cheaper styling tools. This Pro Dry hair dryer has a lot of the same features as the Supersonic including a concentrated precision nozzle up front, ion technology for silky, shiny hair and, most notably, full speed and temperature control. It comes with a scrolling temperature control so you can tailor your blowdry to the exact temperature you need.

The HyperAIR IQ Technology uses high-velocity heated and ionized air to dry your hair quickly with little heat damage. It also comes with an IQ 2-in-1 Concentrator or IQ Curl-Defining Diffuser that can set the heat and airflow settings for you depending on your preferences. The dryer measures the air temperature 1,000 times per second to maintain consistency, and the negative ion generator increases both smoothness and shine, while decreasing frizziness and flyaways. Beyoncé recently gave us a glimpse into her natural hair routine, including the exact hair tools she uses, and Dyson seems to be her go-to. The Dyson hair dryer dries my hair quickly without causing it to fry against a hot air vent.

Of course, it’s often sold out, and we know that price tag really is excessive. While none of our picks can quite match the Supersonic, there are plenty of other high-quality hairdryers that make great gift ideas for your wife or partner (or for yourself). “Hair dryers can be heavy, inefficient, and make a racket…they can also cause extreme heat damage to hair,” James Dyson, the British inventor and founder of the brand, said in a press release. “I challenged Dyson engineers to really understand the science of hair and develop our version of a hair dryer, which we think solves these problems.” That being said, after four years of development, Supersonic was the result of their research. Post shampoo and conditioner, spritz on a healthy dosage of heat protectant along with your favorite stylers.

Of course, many men and women are shocked when they first see the price tag — $429! However, for those who don’t have the supersonic budget to support such a machine, we’ve found a few great alternatives that have similar features, allowing you to create gorgeous hairstyles quickly without breaking the bank. So whether you’re shopping for yourself or looking for a hairdryer as a gift for a long-maned special someone in your life, keep reading for our favorite Dyson Supersonic alternatives. This hair dryer weighs less than one pound and contains an 1800W Eco-Drive motor designed to dry hair faster — in less than 10 minutes to be exact — using 75% less energy.

Like the Supersonic, it’s also super lightweight at less than two pounds and is designed for low sound (unlike the Supersonic). Drybar is mainly known as an easy and accessible blowout bar, but they also offer a select line of hair tools to achieve at-home results. Their Buttercup Blow Dryer is a very popular dryer that’s equipped with a powerful motor to dry your hair fast and efficiently. This dryer incorporates “Nanoionic” technology that helps break up water quickly for reduced drying time, while nano beads within the dryer emit negative ions that seal and smooth the hair cuticle. This results in reduced frizz and increased shine for more healthy-looking, hydrated hair. The Buttercup also comes equipped with not one, but two concentrator nozzles — a wide and a narrow one — which allow for more concentrated airflow on longer, curlier hair.

James Dyson ranks number five on the Sunday Times Rich List, with a net worth of 23 billion pounds. LONDON — Hair is the word at British technology brand Dyson’s base in Malmesbury, a small town in southwest England, where the brand unveiled its latest innovation — the Supersonic r — to an intimate audience in January. I feel like there’s more to the story here… the filter definitely seemed like it was going to be an issue with this model. I am struggling to perform the quality of work that I’m used to giving my clients. “This is a quality, solid yet not heavy, tool, comparable to a similar Dyson Product, for a fraction of the cost,” one shopper noted.

If you've been eyeing a high-end hair styler that focuses on lower heat, you're in for a treat at Best Buy. Since then, she has continued to hone her craft, writing content around technology, television, marketing, law, and shopping. “We are dedicated to understanding the science of hair; this is the foundation that underpins all of our beauty technology. She topped off the outfit with fingerless gloves as an homage to Lagerfeld. What celebrities wear to awards shows is, at this point, pretty predicable.

This hair dryer is engineered for professional hair stylists, and comes built with AeroPrecis technology that drastically speeds up the drying process without sacrificing shine. It’s got a brushless DC motor that creates 75mph airflow that speeds up drying time, so your hair isn’t subjected to heat longer that it needs to be. It’s got a contoured nozzle for concentrated temperature and the ionic technology, similar to the Dyson Supersonic, reduces frizz, fly-aways, and increases shine by 30%.

Accepting his award, Roshan, in a snappy blue Todd Snyder suit, thanked many colleagues, including THR co-editor-in-chief Nekesa Mumbi Moody and his entire family — mom, two brothers, one sister-law — who cheered him on from mid-crowd. “It’s been great working, collaborating, with my colleague and co-editor Nekesa Mumbi Moody, as we’re united in the task of taking The Hollywood Reporter to an even higher level in reporting than it already is,” said Roshan. It’s got a cool shot button for a smooth finish, and it’s lightweight so your arm won’t get tired mid-styling. One of the most effective parts of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is the anti-frizz technology, which comes from a ceramic core. It’s great for all hair types, and has a 2000-watt motor that’s lightweight, powerful, and portable as well. This is another hot air dry brush made to dry and style hair in one step. It uses 50% more ions to eliminate frizz and promote shine, and it’s got vents that allow airflow so your hair dries faster, making styling easier. The ceramic-titanium barrel inside promotes fullness and body, and the soft bristles create shine and smoothness. Each bristle is also made of nylon and comes with a ball tip for gentle detangling as you dry.

Meanwhile, for Collins, it’s about saving time when doing hair for a red carpet event, as well as its longevity. King said the new hair dryer will be a game changer for his two London salons, one in Notting Hill and the other in South Kensington. The Supersonic r is 20 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter with intelligent heat controls that measure air temperature in an aim to prevent heat damage against hair. The Supersonic hasn’t been toyed with for more than seven years until now, and Dyson’s engineers have been working toward making the new hair dryer easier to use.

The dryer is made with Volcanic MX, a mixture of volcanic rock and a signature mineral complex that moisturizes hair as it styles. You get 10x the style and sealing power with much less weight, bulk, and power usage. This dryer has sliders for both the power and heat, and the heat traps moisture in your hair to encourage shine alongside the style. It also weighs less than a pound, making it great for older users or those who can’t hold up a heavy hair dryer for long periods of time. This blowdryer from Shark has a design that very closely mimics the Dyson Supersonic, and is programmed to dry hair and maintain health just like the Dyson.

But thanks to today's deal, Best Buy Plus and Total members can take $140 off the multi-styler, which makes this deal $40 less expensive than the current deal at Dyson. From my experience, the various attachments are the most enticing feature of the Supersonic. First of all, the snap onto the dryer easily, like a magnet, and never fall off during styling—not even when my hair gets tangled. Secondly, there seems to be an attachment for virutally any use case—from smoothing flyaways and frizz to defining curls to combing through thick tresses. You don’t have to splash a bunch of cash to get a Beyoncé-approved blowout at home. Add these Dyson-comparable hair tools to your cart while they’re marked down.

The protocol of Hollywood legacy demands they dress at least relatively tame. Honesty and transparency would be appreciated as we’re (sounded like there are a lot of professionals in the same boat) stuck here, waiting in the dark. My first dealings with support promised a swift Return/exchange however they were out of stock. I’ve since then, spoken with three different people on separate occasions and have been told three separate things. Over the past 30 years, Dyson has become a leading name in international engineering, as its owner is one of Britain’s wealthiest families.

Dyson makes one of our favorite hair dryers — the Supersonic — and Black Friday is a fantastic time to find a rare sale on this big-ticket item. I gravitate towards the wide-tooth comb attachment to work through my thick, curly mane with ease—quicker than any other drier I’ve tested. The Supersonic hair dryer, plus the seven attachments, are what you get for about $430 year-round; however, in an effort to simplify its offering—this year Dyson unveiled the Supersonic Origin. Say you don’t want all the frills of the traditional set or would like another dryer for travel, you can get the dryer with just the styling concentrator at a fraction of the cost.

The dryer is lightweight and portable, and comes with a concentrator and a diffuser as well. If this review is any indication, yes the Dyson Supersonic is worth the investment. In my opinion, it’s one of those devices that you never tire of; not to mention, the brand continues to innovate its uses through expanded attachments, most which can be purchased à la carte. For a professional, or someone who dries hair very often, this is a must thanks to its minimal heat and level of customization to any hair type. If you’re one to air dry and style, perhaps just do the Dyson Airwrap instead—an equally, if not more, sought-after tool that boasts the more specific drying and styling capabilities you might be looking for. Be realistic about your hair care regimen to determine what’ll get you the most bang for your buck.

It uses 3D brush teeth to evenly heat hair and reduce frizz as users glide the device through their hair. It’s available in three colors, has five heat settings, and includes a brush, clips, a heatproof glove, and a travel bag. As far as famous hairdryers go, the Drybar Buttercup is second only to the Dyson Supersonic. The Dyson Airwrap styling tool has become a cult-favorite beauty tool even though, like many Dyson products, it comes with an eye-watering price tag.

Sheila Bridges created Harlem Toile de Jouy, possibly one of the most famous reinterpretations of the classic French pattern. Her design, which started out as a solution to not being able to find the perfect toile for her home, recreates the pastoral scenes featuring modern-day African-American life in New York City. Toile de Jouy typically is a white or ivory cotton ground printed with a blue pattern. If it’s a true toile de Jouy, the main point is that this pattern depicts a scene, almost as if it’s telling a story. According to Schumacher, the printed scene also must be monochromatic in color.

While media like books, newspapers, and magazines may be the first things that come to mind when you think of print design, the term extends to a wide variety of applications. Packaging, navigational signage, and advertising materials are other common forms of print design. Specializing in poster design would enable you to effectively communicate a brand’s message and catch the eyes of audiences.

Technically, toile de Jouy should refer only to the single-color printed scene on cotton fabric that comes from and depicts Jouy-en-Josas. Print designers are in high demand due to growing consumerism and businesses need to stand out. If you are interested in becoming a print designer, it’s important to know that there are differences between print design and other fields of graphic design. Businesses spend lots of money on high-quality labels and packaging designs for better branding. This print design niche focuses on designing labels and packaging for products to make them look more appealing to potential buyers and unique from competitors. Printing is the process of transforming the digital design into hard copy on materials like paper, cards, or boxes.

Are you ready to hire an incredible freelance print designer?

Print design is the design that’s going to be printed on a physical publication. It’s important to distinguish the two as clients might expect the designer to print the designs as well. If you’re intrigued by the growing, evergreen nature and creative possibilities by becoming a print designer, there’s no better time than now to dive in. A strong foundation in graphic design principles, combined with specialized knowledge in printing techniques, can set you on a rewarding career path. Ultimately, the choice between print and digital design should align with your specific goals, audience, and resources.

As consumers and users of social media, we’ve grown so accustomed to scrolling past anything that doesn’t immediately capture and keep our attention that it’s become increasingly difficult for online marketers to reach customers. So much so, actually, that an increasing amount of marketing budgets are now being spent on print. Chinese alchemist Pi Sheng invented the concept of movable type, circa 1045 CE. He created induvial characters out of clay and lined them up, using a wax-like substance to keep them in place.

Seamless, consistent imaging, color and finishing assures your designs look great from small to oversize. Print design refers to the processes involved in the reproduction of design onto physical materials. Graphic designers need a working knowledge of the printing methods and techniques that will be used to reproduce their designs in order to achieve the best results. Each type of print design serves a unique function, requiring careful consideration of layout, color, typography, and imagery to effectively convey the intended message and engage the audience. You’ll most commonly see these types of t-shirt prints in supermarkets where the staff is wearing shirts with the company logo. T-shirt designs are also common in fan groups – such as to promote an upcoming music festival.

For instance, the Autonomy Bowl is conceived by keeping in mind that ceramic bowls tend to break at their thinnest points – the walls and rims – while the base usually stays complete. The name translates as “cloth from Jouy,” referring to the small French town of Jouy-en-Josas where the factory that first produced the textile was located. The scenes typically feature idealized images of shepherds or farmers, sheep and other livestock, botanicals, and possibly even a humble barn. Create unique barcodes to add to product packaging labels or add sequential numbering to raffle tickets & price tags.

With modern interpretations and interior trends popping up, the iconic print is just as alive as ever. However, while you’ve likely seen the print before, you may not know much, or anything at all, about its storied history—or the difference between toile and toile de Jouy. With the help of two pattern-loving interior designers, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about this romantic and whimsical textile. With Avery Design & Print, creating customized products has never been easier.

Autonomy is also a design ethic embraced for Repairing Society, intentionally designing objects to be gracefully broken and repurposed with ease. ‘We design for a long arc of use, and an evolving appearance and meaning,’ says Xiaodong Ma. Ma proposes that designers can plan an object’s afterlife from the outset as well as considering how they will be used.

You’re probably familiar with toile de Jouy even if you don’t realize it. Whether you’re a maximalist or lover of traditional design, you’ve certainly encountered the iconic printed fabric, which has been around for centuries. Originally showing scenes of the pastoral French countryside, the toile pattern has evolved over the years to depict interpretations of modern times and is still used in both interiors and fashion today.

When it comes to more modern takes on the pattern, both See and Kedigian like experimenting with different color combinations in the toile itself. Pink and white, pink and red, inky black and white, burnt orange and blue—using different hues allows you to have more freedom with the overall color story while still capturing the romantic feel. These levels are displayed right on every designer’s portfolio, so you can easily see if you’re working with someone with lots of experience or someone that’s an up-and-coming talent. Just think of how many things you can design for print; from marketing brochures to flyers, book covers to posters, advertising inserts to informational pamphlets…the sky is the limit.

Land that has only been cleared or graded, with no additional improvements, is not considered previously developed. Land maintained in a natural state (e.g., a forest preserve) is not considered previously developed, even if minor features like walking paths are present. Select one team member to take primary responsibility for leading the group through the LEED application and documentation process. This leadership role may change from the design to the construction phase, but both the design and the construction leaders should be involved throughout the process to ensure consistency, clarity, and an integrative approach. An agreement between the owner and the design-builder should describe the owner's role in design, approvals, and quality assurance, define each party's roles and responsibilities, and identify project milestones. Owners and design-build teams develop strong relationships thanks to the close, collaborative nature of the design-build construction method.

How to harness LIDAR and BIM technology for precise building data, equipment needs

The seeds sown in the concept design stage begin to sprout here, as the project starts taking a more tangible shape. As the Industrial Revolution dawned, there was a rise in standardized materials and construction techniques. This period also witnessed the first wave of urbanization, necessitating a more planned and systematic approach to design. As we delve deeper into the intricacies of this design phase, we’ll explore its evolution, processes, components, and its undeniable significance in the ever-evolving world of construction. In the dynamic landscape of the construction industry, the importance of this phase cannot be overstated.

Alternatively, you can use a best-value selection method, in which you select a Design-Builder based on a combination of estimated price and added value in addition to experience, expertise and credentials. Design-Builders deliver the best value by evaluating budget solutions early in the design process and by creating continuous price estimates as the design progresses. Limiting your prospective builders to hard-dollar bids before they have a chance to get into the project can lead to misleading and uncertain estimates. Every part of a building is subject to the effects of outside forces—gravity, wind, earthquakes, and temperature changes, to name a few. Throughout history, people have constructed buildings that have withstood these forces over a long period of time, primarily using rules of thumb derived from their own experiences and those of their predecessors. In recent centuries, the scientific and industrial revolutions introduced analytical approaches that allowed designers to go beyond empirical limitations and predict the behavior of building systems and components that existed only in their imaginations.

The Location and Transportation (LT) category rewards thoughtful decisions about building location, with credits that encourage compact development, alternative transportation, and connection with amenities, such as restaurants and parks. The LT category is an outgrowth of the Sustainable Sites category, which formerly covered location-related topics. Whereas the SS category now specifically addresses on-site ecosystem services, the LT category considers the existing features of the surrounding community and how this infrastructure affects occupants’ behavior and environmental performance.

Early involvement of a commissioning authority helps prevent long-term maintenance issues and wasted energy by verifying that the design meets the owner’s project requirements and functions as intended. In an operationally effective and efficient building, the staff understands what systems are installed and how they function. Staff must have training and be receptive to learning new methods for optimizing system performance so that efficient design is carried through to efficient performance.

But the team cannot apply the same water to multiple credits unless the water source has sufficient volume to cover the demand of all the uses (e.g., irrigation plus toilet-flushing demand). Plans are used to document the location and size of vegetated areas and the locations of meters and submeters. Within the building, floorplans show the location of fixtures, appliances, and process water equipment (e.g., cooling towers, evaporative condensers), as well as indoor submeters.

With the project vision in mind and knowing the site's potential and limitations, project teams must identify the high-performance attributes they want to work towards in the next step. Then, they must create a project-specific definition for high-performance design. Building standards, such as the International Green Construction Code® powered by ASHRAE Standard 189.1, provide building minimum requirements to deliver a high-performance design with measurable benefits. Design teams must take larger performance attribute goals and break them down into smaller, project-specific goals for various project stages. At The Korte Company, we begin the architectural design process a little differently than other Design-Builders.

Their excellent customer service and persistent dedication in translating a client’s vision into a cohesive design has led to countless repeat clients, including many who have come back five or six times. Stuart Hilliard Inc. (JSH) is lauded for working on a direct and personal level with clients and celebrated for assembling a team where their construction supervisors have architectural backgrounds. Among the design/build firm’s prestigious client list are many celebrities who employ the practice to create everything from multi-million dollar classic beachfront estates to ultra-contemporary homes in the most exclusive LA neighborhoods.

Design-Build cost savings

This approach encourages the discovery of new opportunities, raises new questions, and facilitates testing across disciplines. This process should focus the team on those credits with the highest value for the project over the long term. Once the high-priority credits have been selected, identify related credits that reinforce the priority strategies and provide synergistic benefits. Use the project goals to identify the credits and options that should be attempted by the team. The Behind the Intent sections offer insight into what each credit is intended to achieve and may help teams align goals with credits that bring value to the owner, environment, and community of the project.

How to harness LIDAR and BIM technology for precise building data, equipment needs

Review the project’s program and initial findings from the goal-setting workshop to identify the project scope. Special considerations include off-site or campus amenities or shared facilities that may be used by project occupants. To capture the most opportunities, the workshop should occur before any design work and include wide representation from the design and construction disciplines. All projects seeking certification are required to comply with the minimum program requirements (MPRs) for the applicable rating system, found in this reference guide and on the USGBC website. A design-build must communicate and collaborate effectively, and cooperate with the owner and any subcontractors brought in later in the project phases. Because all players are on the same team within the design-build contract playing field, the change process becomes a group activity to solve, where each team member can use their skills and expertise to make the changes quickly and without dissent.

DELIVERING SUCCESS IN INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS FOR OVER 30 YEARS

In developed nations, potable water often comes from a public water supply system far from the building site, and wastewater leaving the site must be piped to a processing plant, after which it is discharged into a distant water body. This pass-through system reduces streamflow in rivers and depletes freshwater aquifers, causing water tables to drop and wells to go dry. In 60% of European cities with more than 100,000 people, groundwater is being used faster than it can be replenished2.

Earth’s systems depend on biologically diverse forests, wetlands, coral reefs, and other ecosystems, which are often referred to as “natural capital” because they provide regenerative services. A United Nations study indicates that of the ecosystem services that have been assessed worldwide, about 60% are currently degraded or used unsustainably1. The results are deforestation, soil erosion, a drop in water table levels, extinction of species, and rivers that no longer run to the sea. Recent trends like exurban development and sprawl encroach on the remaining natural landscapes and farmlands, fragmenting and replacing them with dispersed hardscapes surrounded by nonnative vegetation.

Pulling the Siskyou Mtns with a full load it sounded like a freight train. I was told that many a times when tilting the cab for service the front windshields would fall out!!! Actually, the Cruiseliner only replaced the Western FL/FS,they kept making eastern built F models right up till '81 when they moved production of the Cruiseliner to Macungie. Big rigs are a different world to me when it comes to the mechanical side. I can tell what parts are and what they are for on a car, but trucks are just weird. Doing some research I realised the instructions showing the oil filter is actually correct, but to me it looks nothing like an oil filter, lol! Thanks for the colour suggestion, I was wondering how to do that, looks like gold plating when I was looking up pictures. The Mack F series truck uses taper-leaf front springs, which helps to provide a smoother ride. Taper-lead springs practically eliminate the inter-leaf friction, which is common with multi-leaf spring systems.

So whereas on other trucks the steering shaft down to the box is fairly rigid, this one has to flex enough to accommodate spring deflection on the front axle. The Mack Super-Liner is a model line of Class 8 trucks produced by Mack Trucks. Following its 1993 discontinuation, the Super-Liner was replaced by the CL700; today, its closest equivalent is the Mack Anthem. The Cruiseliner was the replacement for the F-Model. It seemed that the cruiseliners had good initial sales but then dropped off like a rock. Initial orders for west coast fleets PIE IML ONC etc. seemed to be pretty good but they never gained traction like KW, Pete and Freightliner.

I build mostly trucks and I agree, AMT/MPC are challenging. Italeri are easier builds, great part fit, but have been know to cut corners on accuacy. If like me, you don't know what it is supposed to look like, you just build happy, but if you are a stickler for accuracy, Italeri has some issues. It looks like some of the sprues are slightly different to what's on the sheet. There's also two sets of mud flaps and two different manifolds, could be a fuel injector bar but I can't find it on the instruction sheet. Is this kit like the AMT '57 Chevy where they removed most of the original extras leaving some sprues with parts that weren't on the instructions on the re-release?

Yes, it's one or the other, detail or an easy build, choose your side! I'm not complaining though, it's a great time for modelling now that Round2 is releasing all these old kits, and even creating new ones. I'm not a big truck guy either, only in the sense I don't drive them or know much about them, but I love building them and seeing all the countless variations there are.

Thanks to Round2 we are getting a lot more of these kits to build. They may be repops, but better than it was a few years back when there was nothing. There are so many possibilities with trucks .

I took a guess and thought it was a fuel injector rail.

The other issue with truck kits is, there are only so many truck kits. Not all trucks have been kitted, most are 1980 or older in AMT/MPC, Italeri are 80-early 2000's and limited US trucks. As for your other points, welcome to the world of AMT truck kits! I find the ones I've done more challenging than they need to be because of the same things you've discovered.

I built this back in 2011, and I looked through my pics to see if I had any of the engine out of the frame. So you know, Tamiya Gold Leaf X-12 is a good match for Mack Gold. Here is a KT that I sold a few years ago.

The Mack F series was the third generation of cabover trucks from Mack Trucks. Its production began in 1962 and ended in 1981. It was produced primarily as a set-forward axle truck but a setback axle version was shipped overseas (from the USA). The cab came in a 50-inch (1371.6 mm) day cab (no sleeper). Sleeper models included a 72-inch (1828.8 mm), 80 inch (2032 mm) and later a "bustle back" was added that lengthened the sleeper to 86 inches (2184.4 mm).

Outside, our 1880’s soldier interpreters play concerts of military music, fire rifles on the parade ground, and deliver a cannon salute over the harbor. Get the most out of your trucks and drivers with fuel management and driver assist technologies. We offer an extensive collection of antique truck prints, photographs, vintage truck posters, vintage truck Operator's Manuals and Service Manuals.

Constructed by the British during the American Revolution, Fort Mackinac served as an imposing sentinel in the Straits of Mackinac for 115 years. Within its 14 original buildings, you’ll enjoy informative and interactive exhibits, a children’s play area, and a Victorian-themed museum store.

It's not an issue, I just find it interesting and like learning about these things. We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

I really enjoy truck kits and while I have worked on trucks professionally, it has been many years and my knowledge is very low. I enjoy the challenges and making a poop kit into something cool. I just couldn't understand why the steering box was mounted on the axle and thought, that can't be!? I tried mounting it the way shown in your pic, James, but it looked like it was bolted to the leaf spring. I tried to live with it but I was actually laying awake last night for an hour thinking how bad it looked, Lol! So I turned it upright, it still looks weird and don't fit right but at least it looks like it's bolted to the axle now and not the spring.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at So, looks like the steering box is fixed to the front axle and not (as usual) to the frame.

The taper concept uses springs of equal length and different contour, to assure the springs do not slide against one another while in normal operation. This arrangement, accompanied by forged aluminum rear brackets and shackles equate to a comfortable ride. Grand Hotel Lunch BuffetBetween noon and 2PM most days, the Grand Luncheon Experience draws international crowds for a one-of-a-kind experience. Regular offerings include fresh and composed salads, succulent oysters, mussels, and assorted smoked fish.

I know I probably haven't helped there. Garett with your painting skills if I were you I would go with the paint in the picture of the one with the double trailers. Either box stock using the Ryder decals, or one of the two pictured below... Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.

It was sung by Jack Jones in the opening sequence of the first eight seasons and, in a different arrangement, by Dionne Warwick in the last season and the four specials that followed it. Charo, who had also recorded and commercially released the song, performed it within the show in one of her guest appearances. The opening sequence of the TV movies featured an instrumental version of the song without the lyrics. Instrumental variations of the song were extensively used throughout the series as incidental music.

Pacific Princess was perhaps the most important ship for the Love Boat, as it was the vessel most prominently used. They kept it around until 2002, when it was sold to Pullmantur to become just the Pacific. Interestingly, it was seized by the Italian government in 2008 in response to unpaid repair bills. It went up for sale, but no buyers emerged, and it was eventually completely demolished in 2014. Surprise that special someone with a Gift Card, redeemable for romantic experiences.

During that time, it usually ranked among the top 20, and sometimes even the top 10. However, the show fell out of the Top 30 during the 1984–85 season, and after falling out of the Top 50 during the 1985–86 season, The Love Boat was canceled after nine years on ABC, although four three-hour specials aired during the 1986–87 season. Thus, episodes have multiple titles referencing its simultaneous storylines, e.g., the first episode of season one is "Captain & the Lady / Centerfold / One If by Land".
